Summary: The role of Infrastructure Tester involves hands-on testing within a secure government program in Basingstoke, focusing on validating complex Zero Trust Infrastructure environments. The position requires active DV Clearance and entails planning, executing, and reporting on infrastructure testing activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure robust and secure operational deployments. This is a contract position lasting 18 months, with a daily rate between £450 and £550, classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute infrastructure test plans, test cases and test scripts.
- Validate Zero Trust architecture components and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform end-to-end testing across servers, networks, security controls and integrations.
- Verify deployments, configurations and environment readiness.
- Identify, document and track defects through to resolution.
- Support system integration, functional, non-functional and operational testing activities.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, security specialists and delivery teams.
- Produce clear test evidence, reports and assurance documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
Key Skills:
- Active UK DV Clearance.
- Strong hands-on infrastructure testing experience within secure environments.
- Experience testing complex enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and security architectures.
- Understanding of Windows and Linux server environments.
