Summary: The Test Automation Engineer role at a leading consultancy involves joining an agile team to ensure the quality and reliability of a web-based application through automated testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in test automation, particularly with Cypress, and experience in both front-end and API testing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated tests for front-end and API testing using Cypress.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of web-based applications through comprehensive automated testing.
  • Collaborate with team members in an agile environment to enhance testing processes.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Utilize Git for version control and manage test automation code.
  • Work with PostgreSQL for database queries and validation.
  • Address common challenges in UI automation and apply the Page Object Model.
  • Engage with event-driven architectures, particularly using Kafka.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Front-end Test Automation Engineer using Cypress.
  • Experience in API Test Automation, preferably with Cypress, Postman, and Rest-Assured.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript for front-end development and Java for API development.
  • Familiarity with API architecture and data formats such as RESTful services.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control.
  • Knowledge of the Page Object Model and common challenges in UI automation.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, particularly using Kafka.
