The role
You'll design, build and maintain test automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
The work is hands-on, but you'll also be client-facing: you'll work closely with stakeholders, explain your approach and help raise the quality bar across the team.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, building and improving automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript
- Building robust, scalable and maintainable automation frameworks
- Working with developers, BAs and product owners to make sure quality is built in from the start
- Fitting automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Sharing progress, risks and recommendations clearly with client stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting other team members on automation best practice
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong hands-on skills in Playwright and TypeScript
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a good fit with the client's people-focused culture
- Insurance sector experience would be a real advantage, but isn't essential
