Summary: The role of Test Architect involves training teams in automated testing using various technologies, including .NET (C#), Java, and Selenium, while also providing expertise in TDD/BDD practices. The position requires crafting test strategies, supervising integration testing, and managing testing activities across multiple platforms and environments. Additionally, the Test Architect will mentor team members, assess software quality, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train the team on writing automated test cases using .NET (C#), Java, and Selenium.
- Implement ReadyAPI, Junit, Cucumber, and Specflow.
- Provide SME-level experience with TDD/BDD.
- Oversee service virtualization, environment management, and CI/CD practices.
- Craft test strategies and supervise integration testing activities.
- Ensure timely production of test results with required quality.
- Monitor and adapt testing activities to meet project planning and budget.
- Assess software delivery quality and mentor testing resources.
- Manage technical queries from the team and resolve them promptly.
- Coordinate and coach on NFR testing.
- Identify risks/issues and present mitigating actions.
- Provide status reports on critical metrics and issues.
- Create Testing and Launch Strategy and Test Summary Report.
- Collect metrics to measure training effectiveness and team maturity.
- Manage release activities up to production launch and post-launch support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standard processes.
- Analyze information from documentation, system data, clients, and colleagues.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., .NET, Java, Selenium).
- Experience with ReadyAPI, Junit, Cucumber, and Specflow.
- Strong knowledge of TDD/BDD methodologies.
- Expertise in service virtualization and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to craft test strategies and manage integration testing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
