Summary: The Test Architect role focuses on delivering testing responsibilities across multiple projects in Personal Banking, particularly in cards and payments. The position requires expertise in test design, automation, and quality metrics, while also supporting the QA leadership team with strategic initiatives. The role emphasizes innovation in testing and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective testing processes. The contract is inside IR35 and is based in Knutsford, requiring two days on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Test Architect responsibilities over multiple testing projects in Personal Banking.
- Support QA leadership by taking ownership of key strategic initiatives.
- Provide functional and technical expertise in developing tools to optimize testing quality.
- Contribute to impact analysis, test estimations, and test planning for projects.
- Define test models based on user stories and conduct risk assessment workshops.
- Set up and execute tests using both automation tools and manual methods.
- Analyze defects and guide development teams in problem resolution.
- Review integrated environment dependencies and highlight risks for programs.
- Create test scenarios, scripts, and data sheets to assist the test team.
- Drive test automation and support performance management of Test Analysts.
- Assist in operational tasks and support the adaptation of agile processes/tools.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with key personnel in testing projects.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of application(s) and business domain(s) in Personal Banking.
- Experience in cards and payments domain knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Personal Banking technology platforms (Mainframe and Open Systems).
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium and Java.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in mentoring and training teams on testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with stakeholder management and leadership in testing projects.
