Summary: We are seeking a Playwright Automation Engineer to join a global technology modernization program within a Tier-1 financial services organization. This role involves hands-on test automation development and strategic contributions to test architecture and quality engineering practices. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring high software quality standards across critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright
- Build and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test suites
- Contribute to the definition of test strategy, standards, and best practices
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis
- Ensure adequate test coverage across applications and services
- Improve test reliability, performance, and maintainability
- Support quality assurance initiatives across multiple Agile teams
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices
- Maintain clear and structured test documentation
Key Skills:
- 3-7+ years of experience in test automation (level dependent on seniority)
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
- Experience with Selenium and Cucumber frameworks
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration
- Programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of test architecture and automation frameworks (for senior candidates)
- Ability to mentor or support junior team members (for senior candidates)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
