Summary: The Test Analyst role is a 3-month fixed-term contract based in Glasgow, UK, focusing on manual and automated testing within an agile development environment. The position requires collaboration with business users and team members to ensure effective test planning, execution, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with IBM Social Programme Management software and a strong background in testing processes and tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and input to requirements and design documents from the perspective of testability.
- Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases (manual and automated) and other artefacts for end-to-end and integration testing.
- Execute tests/retests and document results and evidence, isolating and logging defects where appropriate.
- Support Business users in test planning and execution of end-to-end testing.
- Hold and participate in test plan/case reviews with team members and other stakeholders.
- Accurately report progress, and raise any issues, dependencies, risks to the Test Lead/Manager.
- Strive for continuous improvement; input to test improvements roadmap.
- Be an active participant in the Testing Practice and Testing forums.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Manual Testing and knowledge in automation testing.
- Experience with testing tools like Selenium and/or other tools.
- Experience of testing on IBM WebSphere, JAVA, JSON, XML, and API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured.
- Working knowledge of DB2/SQL.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks within an Agile delivery environment, especially Serenity BDD, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, JMeter.
- Experience of configuration management and deployment tools such as GIT and Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of JIRA.
- Experience with Test Management tools such as QTest, Quality Center.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications skills.
- Strong team skills including the ability to work as an individual team member and be a team player.

Job Description
Working as part of a testing team within an agile development environment, the QA Analyst will:
- Review and input to requirements and design documents from the perspective of testability
- Develop, document (within the test management tool) and maintain functional test cases (manual and automated) and other artefacts, for end to end and integration testing, using appropriate test basis as input
- Execute tests/retests and document results and evidence, isolating and logging defects where appropriate

The Quality Assurance Analysts must have significant hands-on experience of IBM Social Programme Management (SPM) software
Demonstrable experience of working as a tester as part of an Agile Delivery Team with involvement in integration and end to end testing.
Good understanding and experience of testing processes and procedures, test analysis, test design, test execution, diagnostics, recording and reporting
Demonstrable experience in collaborating in design and User Story refinement, and determining and implementing Risk Based Test Approaches
Must be familiar with standard testing and defect management tools
Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependence
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
