Summary: The Test Analyst role at Yü involves driving operational change through effective testing of in-house developed software and packages. The position requires collaboration with various departments and regular interaction with senior management. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in testing, with a strong focus on web applications and a proven ability to manage testing processes. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Leicester with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test scenarios, scripts, and data from business requirements throughout the Testing Life cycle.
  • Conduct full lifecycle testing, including raising defects and status reporting to the Test Lead.
  • Execute End to End Tests, Regression suites, System Testing, System Integration Testing, and UAT.
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify issues and areas for improvement.
  • Run Functional and Non-Functional tests, including performance, load, and security testing.
  • Utilize industry-standard Test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
  • Support smoke testing post-change go-live to ensure success.
  • Provide daily progress updates on testing activities to the Test Lead.
  • Attend daily stand-ups and meetings to report progress and issues to the project team.
  • Coordinate and manage 3rd Party suppliers and testing with downstream applications.
  • Work independently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of testing web applications, including UI and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and automated testing tools.
  • Ability to work in both waterfall and agile environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex issues.
  • Experience with industry-standard Test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP QC).
  • Effective interpersonal skills for building relationships within teams.
  • Experience in utility retail and knowledge of relevant systems is desirable.
  • Testing certifications such as ISTQB are a plus.
