Summary: The Terminal Operator role involves ensuring the safe receipt, storage, and delivery of bulk liquids at a terminal for a global fuel company. This position is initially a 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. The operator will work a shift pattern, starting with day shifts during training, and is responsible for maintaining safety and compliance in terminal operations. Candidates should possess a valid driver's license and a willingness to learn and adapt in a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe terminal operations, including tank farm, road loading, and jetty operations.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment to minimize plant maintenance needs.
- Maintain compliance with procedures, perform preventative maintenance, product handling, testing, and marine operations.
- Achieve full competency in tank farm operations, control panel operations, and jetty operations.
- Collaborate with the terminal team to support business and safety goals, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to learn and adapt with a positive attitude.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining SharePoint records and logs.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance duties.
- Knowledge of product quality compliance, terminal operations, HSSE, maritime management, and control of work.
- Capability to complete FLBM sign off for tank-farm, control panel, and jetty operations.
