Summary: The Temporary Works Coordinator will oversee temporary works coordination on a major groundworks and civil engineering project in Murton, County Durham. This role involves managing the temporary works register, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and acting as the main point of contact for temporary works issues on-site. - Manage and maintain the temporary works register
- Coordinate and monitor temporary works activities across site
- Ensure site teams follow agreed temporary works procedures

- Monitor trench shoring, excavation support and shoring systems
- Oversee batters and temporary excavation measures
- Coordinate formwork associated with slabs and walls

About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major groundworks and civil engineering project on a site-based freelance basis. This is an early-stage transformer station package valued at around £25m , with a minimum 6-month contract and strong likelihood of extension. The role will take ownership of temporary works coordination on site, ensuring procedures are followed, the temporary works register is maintained accurately, and temporary works are implemented safely and in line with approved design. This is well suited to a TWC from a civils, infrastructure, utilities, groundworks or heavy earthworks background who is comfortable being the main on-site point of contact for temporary works matters.

Requirements
Valid Temporary Works Coordinator qualification / ticket - essential
Valid CSCS card - essential
