The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing the organization s payroll in a timely manner. This includes calculating wages, preparing and distributing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain accurate records.

Contract duration: 2-3 month

Location: Miami, FL onsite or reside in New York- remote

Schedule: Standard hours & Mon-Fri; 5x/wk. onsite

Pay: $40/hr.-$60/hr.

Responsibilities:

Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings accurately.

Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring timely distribution of paychecks.

Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including taxes, deductions, and benefits.

Stay updated on changes to payroll regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.

Generate payroll reports for management as needed.

Assist with audits and other payroll-related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Prior end-to-end experience in payroll processing.

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
