Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Variance analysis and commentary to support senior leadership
- Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Support with budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Working closely with operational teams to understand cost drivers
- Helping streamline processes and improve reporting where needed
- Month-end close responsibilities from start to finish

Morgan McKinley is supporting a long-standing Bristol SME with the appointment of an experienced Management Accountant who can join them on a 3-month interim contract. For the right person, there's every chance this could convert into a permanent opportunity - but if you're simply looking for a solid contract to get stuck into, that works too.
We're looking for someone who can start within a maximum of 2 weeks' notice and who has genuine end-to-end management accounts experience within an SME environment. The finance team is hands-on, supportive, and busy, so you'll need to be confident picking work up quickly and running with it.
What you'll be getting involved in:
