Summary: The Temporary HR Officer role within the Legal Department involves supporting HR activities and projects in a dynamic environment. The position requires collaboration with both HR and Legal teams, focusing on administration, compliance, and performance management. This is a full-time, three-month temporary contract with a hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries within the Legal Department.
  • Manage the full spectrum of HR administration — onboarding, contracts, and leaver processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain departmental compliance records, including risk catalogues and training registers.
  • Support performance review cycles, training coordination, and policy updates.
  • Ensure alignment with employment legislation and internal HR frameworks.
  • Liaise with central HR and payroll teams to streamline operations.
  • Provide project and administrative support to the Legal leadership team.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as an HR Officer, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and employment law.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who builds trust and positive relationships at all levels.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience in a corporate, legal, or head office environment would be highly regarded.
