The Temporary Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including overseeing and managing various HR departments. The role is hybrid with four days in office and one day WFH and requires 20% travel to various facilities within the New York City area. The temporary position will be for a duration of 2-3 months.



Supervisory Responsibilities:


* Lead and manage the HR team.


* Oversee the daily operations and workflow within the department.


* Take responsibility for HR functions, including operations, benefits administration, employee relations, and talent acquisition.


* Conduct performance evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.


* Manage employee discipline in line with company policies.



Duties/Responsibilities:


* Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.


* Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.


* Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.


* Manage the benefits administration process.


* Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.


* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.


* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.


* Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred/PLUS:


* Spanish Fluent

Education and Experience:


* Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.


* A minimum of seven years of human resource management experience preferred.


* SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.



Travel & Physical Requirements:


* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to various locations within New York.


* Capable of leading and attending various meetings at different facilities across New York.


* Comfortable accessing and navigating through multiple departments at the organization s facilities.


* Willing to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.


* Able to lift up to 15 pounds when needed.
