Summary: The role of Temporary HR Generalist in Bradford involves delivering effective HR services, managing recruitment activities, and overseeing HR administration. The position requires supporting the implementation of HR policies and strategies aligned with school improvement priorities. The role is fully onsite and temporary, initially until September, with a focus on compliance and employee wellbeing. The successful candidate will also manage HR casework and provide advisory support to leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ER casework, liaise with trade unions, and escalate cases as needed.
- Coach and advise leadership and middle leaders on HR processes.
- Oversee recruitment procedures, onboarding processes, and ensure compliance with safer recruitment legislation.
- Ensure robust processes and systems for accuracy and compliance with employment legislation.
- Support attendance and wellbeing activities, manage OH referrals.
- Produce reports with key HR data and metrics for senior leadership.
- Issue high-quality HR correspondence related to casework.
- Manage employee records and ensure pre-employment and safeguarding checks.
- Oversee HR and safeguarding training delivery.
- Manage HR Administrator, including performance reviews.
- Participate in regular meetings, training, and continuous improvement of processes.
- Adhere to policies on equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety, security, and confidentiality.
Key Skills:
- HR advisory experience, including managing ER casework.
- Experience with HR improvement projects and HR/payroll systems.
- Desirable experience in education or local government HR processes.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, KCSIE, and Safer Recruitment practices.
- Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
- Ability to undertake a DBS check and full compliance.
