Summary: The role of Temporary Arbitration Paralegal involves supporting an expanding law firm in London with case management and documentation for an initial 3-month assignment. The position requires experience in international arbitration and the ability to work autonomously. Key tasks include managing case files, assisting with document reviews, and supporting associates during hearings. The role is based in the City of London and offers competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining large electronic and paper case files, with day-to-day responsibility for file management, indexing and the organisation of client materials for associate review
- Working with lawyers and interns to carry out first-level document reviews ahead of second-level associate review
- Supporting associates during submission phases, including formatting and style consistency, cite-checking, proofreading, and organising supporting documentation
- Leading the logistical planning of hearings, including negotiating contracts with transcribers, interpreters and hearing venues
- Working closely with fee-earners on opening and closing submissions, with responsibility for PowerPoint presentations
- Assisting with the preparation of cross-examination bundles, working closely with fee-earners throughout the process
Key Skills:
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Paralegal in International Arbitration
- Availability to start immediately
- Experience of supporting filings and hearings and the ability to work with some degree of autonomy
- Experience with e-discovery (Relativity, Disco etc)
