Summary: The Temporary Accommodation Officer role involves managing and allocating temporary accommodation for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London. The position focuses on supporting homeless households and collaborating with accommodation providers to ensure effective placements and timely transitions. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in homelessness and temporary accommodation management. This is a temporary position with a minimum contract of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive casework support to residents to enable timely move-on.
  • Liaise with and monitor temporary accommodation providers and landlords.
  • Respond to tenancy issues, complaints, emergencies, and anti-social behaviour.

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.

In this role, you will manage and allocate temporary accommodation, supporting homeless households and working with providers to ensure effective placements and timely move-on.

  • Manage and allocate a range of temporary accommodation placements.
  • Provide proactive casework support to residents to enable timely move-on.
  • Liaise with and monitor temporary accommodation providers and landlords.
  • Respond to tenancy issues, complaints, emergencies, and anti-social behaviour.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience working in homelessness, specifically Temporary Accommodation management.
  • Experience allocating and managing emergency, leased, and short-term accommodation.
  • Casework experience supporting vulnerable households, including families with children.
  • Experience working with accommodation providers, landlords, and managing agents.

What's on offer:

Salary: £28ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
