Summary: The role is for a temporary 1st Line IT Support position aimed at individuals seeking to enter the IT field. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and some experience in basic IT troubleshooting. The position requires providing efficient support to system users and logging service desk requests. The contract is expected to last for approximately six months, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st Line Technical Support using Service Desk Software (Samanage).
- Undertake UAT testing with the team when required.
- Ensure service desk requests are logged and processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Resolve tickets at a 1st line level and escalate to senior IT personnel when necessary.
- Perform any other related work under the direction of the IT Management Team.
Key Skills:
- Highly motivated with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Good experience of IT systems and accurate keyboard skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, both in person and on the telephone.
- Experience in working in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous Service Desk experience.
