Summary: The Telecoms Project Manager will oversee the delivery of complex technology and infrastructure projects within a fast-paced telecom environment, requiring experience with telecom operators. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring projects meet quality standards while adhering to timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile or fixed network operations and project management. This position is based in London or Bristol with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of telecommunications projects from initiation through to deployment and operational handover.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across network engineering, IT, operations, and external vendors.
- Deliver telecom infrastructure and technology projects such as network upgrades, mobile rollouts, fibre deployments, and platform implementations.
- Maintain strong governance through risk management, RAID logs, reporting, and change control processes.
- Provide regular updates and executive reporting to senior stakeholders and programme boards.
- Manage relationships with telecom vendors, system integrators, and delivery partners.
- Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards, security requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Support service transition and operational readiness for newly deployed systems and infrastructure.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering projects for telecommunications operators.
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies such as mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), transmission, fibre, IP Networks, or OSS/BSS platforms.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-vendor and cross-functional project teams.
- Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with technical teams and senior leadership.
- Experience working within structured delivery frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP.
