Summary: The Telecom Device Testing Engineer role involves validating and ensuring the quality, performance, and compliance of telecom devices across various network technologies. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in device testing, network protocols, and telecom standards, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, regression, interoperability, and performance testing of telecom devices.
  • Validate device behavior across 2G / 3G / 4G / LTE / 5G network environments.
  • Execute testing on CPEs, routers, switches, modems, handsets, IoT devices, and other telecom equipment.
  • Conduct protocol testing for interfaces such as SIP, Diameter, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SNMP, and FTP.
  • Perform SIM, call flow, data session, SMS, VoLTE, and network handover testing.
  • Analyze logs and traces using tools like Wireshark, QXDM, Tems, or similar.
  • Identify, log, track, and validate defects using defect management tools.
  • Coordinate with development, network, and vendor teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure devices comply with telecom standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect metrics.
  • Support certification and acceptance testing activities.
