Summary: The Telecom Analyst role at Kforce involves collaborating with the Network and Telecom team to manage telecommunications services, including billing and inventory management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute new, changes, and disconnections of services and/or data with Telecom Vendors.
  • Ensure proper recognition of telecommunications billing within financials using Telecom Expense Management Solution.
  • Manage data related to Network and Telecom inventory in the Telecom Expense Management Solution.
  • Provide month-end reports for telecommunication services to illustrate costs and identify savings opportunities.
  • Suggest improvements to the Telecom Billing process and telecom expense management solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT Support Services to implement process and tool enhancements.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or Finance Management or relevant experience.
  • Experience with Telecom Expense Management Solutions.
  • Strong telecom knowledge and understanding of voice, data, and network terminologies.
  • Understanding of billing and financial recognition of costs, and telecom vendor billing dispute processes.
  • Strong relationship management skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to suggest improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to review telecommunications expense data and recommend cost reductions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Telecom Analyst in New York, NY.

Duties:
* Telecom Analyst will be responsible for working with our Network and Telecom team to execute new, changes and disconnections of services and/or data with our Telecom Vendors
* Ensure proper recognition of telecommunications billing (i.e. Voice services, fax services and data services) within the financials leveraging our Telecom Expense Management Solution (Agency Profile) as the catalyst to provide the correct information to the Accounts Payable department; May require investigation of Telecom bills with internal stakeholders and/or Telecom vendors
* Ownership of data management related to Network and Telecom inventory in our Telecom Expense Management Solution (Agency Profile)
* Provide month-end reports for telecommunication services enterprise wide to illustrate the cost per agency and socialize insights/analytics by agency to help identify possible cost savings and/or telephony operating model opportunities
* As a Telecom Analyst, you will identify and suggest improvements specifically around the Telecom Billing process and telecom expense management solution improvements (Agency Profile)
* Work with IT Support Services team to implement process and tool enhancements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or Finance Management and/or relevant experience
* Experience with common Telecom Expense Management Solution
* Strong telecom knowledge with solid understanding of voice, data, network's business terminologies
* Solid understanding of billing and financial recognition of costs, along with familiarity telecom vendor billing dispute process
* Strong relationship management skills to interact with the telecommunications vendors to manage service requests and resolve billing issues, and internal stakeholders
* Attention to details and give suggestions accordingly; Working in an ever-changing fast-paced environment
* Must be able to review telecommunications expense data and corresponding service offerings to recommend cost reductions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
