Summary: The role of Teleco Cloud Architect involves leading the design of automation requirements and architecture for cloud-native core systems, focusing on lifecycle management (LCM) automation across various technologies. The position requires strong expertise in creating end-to-end automation workflows for 4G/5G Core and Appliance Network Functions (ANF), including deployment and upgrade processes. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of cloud-native concepts and relevant orchestration and automation tools. Experience with Nokia Core systems and open-source tools for LCM automation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design automation requirements and architecture for cloud-native core systems.
  • Create end-to-end automation workflows for 4G/5G Core CNF and ANF lifecycle management use cases.
  • Specify detailed steps for deployment, upgrade, and rollback processes, including pre-checks and post-checks.
  • Design data models for CNF/ANF deployments and upgrades, including day0/day1 configurations.
  • Identify building blocks for CNF/ANF lifecycle automation, including interface specifications.
  • Utilize open-source tools for Core LCM automation and GitOps practices.
  • Implement cloud-native deployments using RHOCP/AWS EKS.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in automation design for cloud-native core systems.
  • Strong knowledge of 4G/5G Core and Appliance Network Functions.
  • Experience with orchestration tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Robot Framework).

Senior design expert in automation requirements, use cases & architecture for cloud native core; Proficient in overall LCM automation design across Cloud Infra, CaaS, GitOps concepts, orchestration tools, CM automation and test automation for CNF and ANF (Appliance Network Function). Strong experience in designing e2e automation workflows for 4G/5G Core CNF and ANF LCM use cases like deployment, upgrade & rollback in detail, specifying every step e.g. pre-checks, post checks, configurations, test execution etc. Strong experience in designing data model for CNF/ANF deployment and upgrades including day0/day1 configurations. Good experience in e2e architecture and design for CNF/ANF life cycle automation, identifying building blocks including interface specifications (API definitions). Strong 4G/5G Core knowledge, preferably around Nokia Core. Good understanding of opens source based tools prevalent in the industry used for Core LCM automation (Gitlab/GitHub), GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD), Ansible, Robot framework, python scripts etc. Good understanding of cloud native concepts and experience with RHOCP/AWS EKS based cloud native deployments is desirable.
