Pigment is a change and transformation consultancy. We partner with other consultancies to deliver a "one team approach" for solving complex change across sectors Central and Local Government, Defence and National Security Transport and Finance.
Due to growth within our Government Department portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Technology Transformation Director to support a major transformation programme within a highly regulated, science-led organisation.
This is an opportunity for someone who has built their career from a strong technical foundation into senior technology and transformation leadership, and who can move confidently between technology strategy, architecture, organisational change and executive-level decision-making.
What you'll be doing:
- Shaping technology strategy, target architectures and transformation roadmaps aligned to organisational priorities.
- Developing technology operating models, investment cases and strategic recommendations.
- Providing senior leadership across complex, technology-enabled transformation programmes.
- Advising and influencing executive stakeholders, challenging constructively and bringing clarity to complex decisions.
- Connecting business strategy, technology architecture and delivery to ensure transformation is both ambitious and achievable.
- Working across cloud, data, digital platforms, enterprise architecture and emerging technologies.
- Helping organisations understand how technology should be designed, delivered and operated to support long-term transformation.
- Building alignment across senior business, technology and delivery stakeholders in complex and sometimes ambiguous environments.
We're looking for someone with:
- 10-15+ years' experience in technology leadership and large-scale transformation.
- A strong technical foundation in areas such as Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
- A proven track record developing technology strategies, target operating models, architectures and transformation investment cases.
- Significant experience engaging with Board and C-suite stakeholders, with the confidence to influence strategic decisions.
- Experience leading technology change within a highly regulated, science-led environment.
- Strong understanding of sectors such as pharma, biotech, medical devices, healthcare, NHS, life sciences or medical research.
- An understanding of the technology, data and regulatory challenges associated with research, innovation, product development and compliance.
- Broad knowledge of modern technology landscapes, including cloud, data, digital platforms and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
