Summary: The Technology Consultant role focuses on system administration with a strong emphasis on storage technologies such as Dell Powermax and Isilon. The position involves key tasks including installations, configurations, migrations, and operational support, alongside responsibilities in incident and change management. Key Responsibilities:
- Installations, configurations, and migrations of storage systems.
- Provide operational support and on-call assistance.
- Monitor components of storage systems including volumes, LUNs, disks, and logs.
- Manage incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies.
- Oversee backup management and conduct health checks.
- Monitor backup jobs, schedules, and relevant logs to ensure successful backups.
- Conduct storage health checkups.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Dell Powermax, Vplex, Isilon, eNAS, Cisco/Brocade SAN switch.
- Experience with EMC Data Domain, Networker, ECS for backup solutions.
- Proficient in VMWare and LINUX/RedHat operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of incident, change, and problem management.
