Summary: The role of Technician 2 involves guiding colleagues through the transition from Zoom to Microsoft Teams, both on-site and virtually. The technician will help users understand new features, adopt best practices, and build confidence in using Teams for collaboration and meetings. This position requires a proactive and approachable individual who can deliver demonstrations and support users effectively. The role is temporary, lasting for five weeks, starting from April 8, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be proactive with a visible and approachable presence to answer questions (not technical troubleshooting).
- Deliver demos via Microsoft Teams both in person and for remote colleagues using pre-defined scripts and presentation decks.
- Explain differences between Zoom and Teams (meeting setup, chat, collaboration tools).
- Share tips and best practices for effective use of Teams.
- Encourage engagement and confidence in using Teams for daily work.
- Record all assistance provided to colleagues.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams features and functionality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and educate users in a friendly, non-technical way.
- Familiarity with Zoom to explain migration differences.
- Comfortable presenting and engaging with both in-person and remote audiences via Teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.

Rate: PAYE – £14.90/hr (Basic) or UMB – £19.34/hr (Under IR35)

Work Schedule: Mon–Fri 09:00–17:30
Duration: 5 weeks
*1 day Paid Online Induction to take place either 1st or 2nd April – Work to begin onsite 8TH April.
