Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience in Substation Automation Systems, Protection & Control, or Grid Automation?
We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join a leading engineering team supporting critical power and automation projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with customer-facing problem-solving, working on cutting-edge protection and control systems within the energy sector.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing technical support and resolving complex customer application enquiries
- Supporting commercial and sales teams with technically robust solutions and proposals
- Assisting project delivery teams during FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
- Investigating faults, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing customer complaints
- Conducting customer site surveys and delivering technical training
- Supporting Protection & Control system engineering activities
- Keeping up to date with the latest products, technologies, and industry standards
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 4+ years' experience in a project, service, commissioning, or support environment
- Hands-on experience with Substation Automation Systems
- Strong understanding of Protection & Control systems and testing practices
- Ability to produce technical reports and communicate effectively with customers
- Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally when required
Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of protection relays and Substation Automation solutions
- Experience within transmission, distribution, power generation, or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capability
