Summary: The role of Programme Planning & Architecture Support Consultant involves providing programme-level planning and architecture support for a large-scale transformation programme in the housing sector. The consultant will work closely with the Technology Lead to create a structured delivery roadmap and governance artefacts, focusing on integration points and data movement across various systems. The position requires strong experience in IT/business transformations and a solid understanding of solution architecture principles. The engagement is remote/hybrid with occasional onsite workshops and is expected to last for six months with a likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide programme-level planning and architecture support.
  • Produce a structured delivery roadmap and associated governance artefacts.
  • Define and document deliverables to support supplier delivery and internal coordination.
  • Create a comprehensive integrated programme plan across property transformation workstreams.
  • Develop a clear dependency map across systems, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare a detailed RACI matrix covering all workstreams and delivery responsibilities.
  • Document RAID and governance documentation to support programme execution.
  • Document key integration touchpoints and high-level sequencing assumptions.
  • Deliver structured outputs that support supplier configuration activity.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in producing programme plans for complex IT/business transformations.
  • Solid understanding of solution architecture principles and systems integration.
  • Experience working with multiple suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Proven background in housing/property services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of repairs, maintenance, asset management, or compliance systems.
  • Ability to translate high-level architecture into structured delivery documentation.
  • Desirable: Microsoft Dynamics 365 exposure.
  • Desirable: Property hierarchy modelling experience.
  • Desirable: Experience working alongside architecture consultancies or enterprise architects.

Engagement Overview

A UK organisation is delivering a large-scale transformation programme involving significant changes to its property and customer service systems landscape. The programme includes the implementation of end-to-end solutions across:

  • Repairs & Maintenance
  • Stock Condition and Asset Management
  • Compliance systems
  • Introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support customer queries and requests

This engagement requires definition of integration points, data mastering and movement between platforms, and alignment of property hierarchy structures across multiple systems.

Scope of Services
