Summary: The Project Engineer/Technical Shopfloor Engineer role involves providing comprehensive support on the shop floor for aerospace production processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT) to provide end-to-end shopfloor support and ensure efficient resource and knowledge utilization.
- Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues beyond the scope of Operators and First Line Managers (FLM).
- Drive operational excellence by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process optimization.
- Support the detection and management of non-conformances on the shopfloor to maintain quality standards.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in project and manufacturing engineering, ideally with CAPEX exposure and experience in aircraft production processes, engineering methods, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, demonstrating autonomy, adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to customer focus and product safety, with experience supporting non-conformity reduction initiatives.
- HNC qualification preferred, with a solid understanding of engineering procedures and industry standards.
Salary (Rate): £36.00 per hour
