Summary: The Technical ServiceNow Project Manager will lead a critical Datacenter Migration and ServiceNow ITSM Implementation, focusing on the delivery of ITSM modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, and CMDB. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of ServiceNow ITSM modules, ensuring they support the new datacenter operating model.
  • Advocate for Out-of-the-Box functionality to minimize technical debt and ensure long-term platform health.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming for the development team using ServiceNow SPM or Jira.
  • Oversee the discovery and mapping of all configuration items, ensuring the Common Service Data Model accurately reflects the new datacenter architecture.
  • Act as a critical link to the Change Advisory Board, managing the high volume of change requests associated with migrating servers and applications.
  • Identify technical dependencies between applications and hardware to prevent service outages during migration phases.
  • Act as the translator between infrastructure/migration engineers and the ServiceNow development team.
  • Coordinate with third-party migration partners and Managed Service Providers to ensure data integrity during migration.
  • Create and maintain Real Time dashboards in ServiceNow to track migration progress, SLA compliance, and project burn-up/down charts.

Key Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of ITSM and ITOM is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Service Transition and Service Operation (ITIL v4 Certification).
  • Familiarity with cloud/physical datacenter concepts (e.g., VMWare, Azure/AWS, networking, storage).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale data imports/exports and maintaining data integrity.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure scenarios during critical migration windows.

Technical ServiceNow Project Manager to lead a mission-critical Datacenter Migration and ServiceNow ITSM Implementation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT Service Management (ITSM) modules-specifically focusing on Incident, Change, Problem, and CMDB-to ensure a seamless transition of services and assets from Legacy environments to the new infrastructure.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, the ITIL framework, and the technical complexities of server/infrastructure relocation.

Key Responsibilities
1. ServiceNow Implementation & Governance

  • Module Delivery: Manage the full life cycle (initiation to hypercare) of ServiceNow ITSM modules, ensuring they are configured to support the new datacenter operating model.

  • Platform Best Practices: Advocate for Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) functionality to minimize technical debt and ensure long-term platform health.

  • Agile Management: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming for the development team using ServiceNow SPM (formerly ITBM) or Jira.

2. Datacenter Migration Coordination

  • CMDB Accuracy: Oversee the discovery and mapping of all configuration items (CIs). Ensure the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) accurately reflects the new datacenter architecture.

  • Change Management: Act as a critical link to the Change Advisory Board (CAB), managing the high volume of change requests associated with migrating hundreds of Servers and applications.

  • Risk & Dependency Mapping: Identify technical dependencies between applications and hardware to prevent service outages during "lift and shift" or "re-platforming" phases.

3. Stakeholder & Technical Liaison

  • Translate Requirements: Act as the "translator" between the infrastructure/migration engineers and the ServiceNow development team.

  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party migration partners and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure data integrity during migration.

  • Reporting: Create and maintain Real Time dashboards in ServiceNow to track migration progress, SLA compliance, and project burn-up/down charts.

Required Qualifications & SkillsTechnical Expertise

  • ServiceNow Proficiency: Deep knowledge of ITSM (Pro/Enterprise) and ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping) is highly preferred.
