Summary: The Technical Project Manager role at SP Energy Networks involves overseeing the specification, planning, development, operation, and maintenance of applications and systems that enhance SCADA control systems. The position is contract-based for 18 months and requires effective project management and stakeholder communication within the Advanced Energy Management Systems (AEMS) team. Key Responsibilities:
- Define streamlined processes for efficient project delivery.
- Maintain an updated documentation library for AEMS applications.
- Support the development of business cases for systems development.
- Manage the project lifecycle and ensure successful completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Assist with the resolution of escalated operational problems.
- Investigate failures and recommend remedial actions.
- Supervise the production and maintenance of ANM policy documentation.
- Provide expert opinions on new system solutions and technologies.
Key Skills:
- Project management of multi-disciplined teams.
- Knowledge of cyber security management and policies.
- Familiarity with AEMS and/or ADMS technologies.
- Understanding of network-related data and communication systems.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience with purchasing policy and legal obligations.
- Degree in electrical, electronic, or telecommunication engineering or relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years post-training experience in an engineering or project management role.
- Numerate with the ability to manage budgets and contracts.
- Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills.
