Summary: The Technical Project Manager will oversee the Oracle HCM Cloud migration for a leading UK retail organization, ensuring effective delivery while managing local stakeholders, Group HR, and Oracle. This role is pivotal in a high-profile, multi-country transformation project, requiring strong governance and stakeholder alignment. The position is remote-first with occasional on-site collaboration and is classified as outside IR35. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Oracle HCM Cloud implementations and strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of the Oracle HCM Cloud migration
  • Own and maintain the integrated delivery plan, milestones, RAID logs, and reporting
  • Drive data migration, reconciliation, and system integration workstreams
  • Coordinate across People, IT, Group HR, and Oracle delivery teams
  • Ensure testing, cutover, and go-live readiness activities are completed and signed off
  • Represent the business in vendor and group forums, providing appropriate challenge where needed
  • Provide clear, structured updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record delivering Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) implementations, ideally from on-premise to cloud
  • Strong experience owning data migration, integrations, and reconciliation within complex programmes
  • Background in multi-country or group-led transformation programmes
  • Experience working alongside large vendor teams such as Oracle, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively
  • Strong Agile delivery experience, including iterative build and playback sessions
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and recover delayed programmes
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, data structures, and integrations
  • Excellent programme management discipline, including planning, RAID management, reporting, and governance
  • Hands-on experience coordinating testing, cutover, and go-live activities
  • Strong stakeholder management across senior HR, IT, and Group functions
  • High emotional intelligence with a collaborative and inclusive working style

About the Opportunity

A leading UK retail organisation, part of a global health and beauty group, is undertaking a high-profile, multi-country Oracle HCM Cloud transformation. The UK business is acting as the pilot for a broader European rollout. The programme is being delivered in partnership with Oracle and Group HR leadership, alongside a wider ecosystem of delivery partners, including TechNet-aligned partners supporting integration and delivery workstreams.

This role sits at the centre of the programme as the Technical Project Manager for the UK business, working across local stakeholders, Group HR, and Oracle to ensure delivery is executed effectively while representing and protecting business requirements.

Role Purpose

You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Oracle HCM Cloud migration from a technical programme perspective. This includes ownership of data migration, integrations, testing, and go-live readiness, as well as overall programme governance and stakeholder alignment. This is a highly visible, time-critical programme with a fixed delivery deadline.
