Key Responsibilities:
- Run projects specializing in bespoke testing systems for clients in Defence and Transport sectors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Deal directly with customers to resolve issues.
- Meet customers on-site as required for Critical Design Reviews and Site Acceptance Tests.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an average of 4 or 5 once fully established.
- Work efficiently with the project management team, scheduling workload and resources as needed.
Key Skills:
- BSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Prince2 certification is a big advantage.
- Experience as a Senior Electrical or Electronics Design Engineer looking to transition into project management.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Experience within the Test/Measurement industry is important.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious company in a senior position. The company are involved with the Design and Manufacture of a range of Test and Inspection Equipment, for customers from various sectors.
The Role
Running projects : The company specialise in designing bespoke testing systems for clients in sectors such as Defence and Transport. Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget. Dealing directly with the customers, to overcome any issues. Meet customers on site where required (London, Midlands, Scottish Borders) : 1 day spent out of office every fortnight, on average. For Critical Design Reviews and Site Acceptance Tests. Short turn around projects : 12:24 weeks. Managing multiple projects at a time. Once fully fledged this will be 4 or 5. Work efficiently with the rest of the PM team, 5 other project managers. Scheduling workload and resources, as required.
The Candidate
BSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Prince2 : Big advantage Senior Electrical OR Electronics Design Engineer : who wants to move into PM. Or someone already doing this, needs to be an engineer though Being able to communicate with all types of people : Technical and Non technical. Experience within the Test/Measurement industry : important.
