Summary: The Technical Project Manager will oversee a complex ICT project for a high-profile programme in Hampshire, focusing on managing technical projects within ICT infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders and effective resource management in a dynamic environment. The position is hybrid and offers a day rate of £370, with an initial contract length of 6 months. The successful candidate will utilize recognized project management methodologies to ensure project success and delivery of business benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the ICT delivery lead for all aspects related to the IT Estate.
  • Manage ICT projects using recognised approaches such as PRINCE2, ensuring the successful achievement of planned business benefits.
  • Oversee the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, minimising costs while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient deployment of resources in a dynamic multi-project environment.
  • Manage risks associated with the project and ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Deliver ICT components for office moves, building re-stacks, new building fit-outs, and building exits.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage sub-contractors to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and deliver projects within similarly sized and complex organisations.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in ICT Project Management, particularly in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Planning & Control Techniques (eg work breakdown structures, critical path analysis).
  • Familiarity with IT Architecture, Networks, Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Project Risk Management and delivering cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering results with minimal supervision.
