Technical Project Manager (Cloud Migration)

Summary: The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead a significant cloud migration program with a focus on Oracle database migration, coordinating efforts across multiple teams and initiatives. This role requires strong project management skills and technical leadership to navigate complex dependencies and delivery challenges in an Agile environment. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site in Central London, and is set for a duration of six months. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cloud migrations and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead coordination and delivery across multiple workstreams and initiatives, managing complex dependencies across platform and product teams.
• Support Oracle database migration efforts, including coordination of testing activities involving 24 teams.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders.
• Drive planning, risk management, and issue resolution across high-risk and critical initiatives.
• Adapt Agile delivery methodologies to suit a multi-team, non-sprint-based environment.
• Conduct deep dives into risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively managing blockers.
• Collaborate across teams to align efforts and achieve seamless cloud migration outcomes.
• Help create and implement delivery approaches that balance technical and business needs.

Key Skills:

• Strong project management and delivery leadership experience in large-scale cloud migration programs.
• Proven experience with Oracle migrations and cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred, Azure acceptable).
• Technical background enabling effective communication and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Experience managing complex, multi-team delivery environments and dependencies.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and the flexibility to work in evolving program setups.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate diverse teams and stakeholders sensitively and intuitively.
• Practical problem-solving skills with a “grizzled,” seasoned approach to delivery challenges.
• Experience operating at both strategic and tactical levels within delivery programs.

Salary (Rate): £480/day
