Summary: The Technical Project Coordinator will lead the technical delivery of the Modernisation Project within the Assembly Commission, focusing on enhancing information systems and developing critical applications. This role involves managing project teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring the successful implementation of digital change initiatives. The postholder will also provide strategic technical advice and oversee resource allocation to meet project objectives efficiently. This position is pivotal in reshaping the Assembly's IT landscape and supporting operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Modernisation Project and its critical workstreams.
- Re-architect the technical environment and replace the Corporate Website.
- Develop a Legislative Tracker for the Windsor Framework Committee.
- Manage resource allocation and planning to optimize productivity and budget adherence.
- Provide strategic technical advice to ensure project success.
- Engage with stakeholders to develop IS solutions for effective business performance.
- Prepare and maintain reports for Senior Management Team as required.
- Lead and manage staff delivering the Modernisation Project.
- Provide strategic advice on transitioning services to a cloud environment.
- Maintain an inventory of project-related technical resources.
- Develop IS and IT policies reflecting changes in the digital landscape.
- Participate in the procurement of ICT enabled business solutions.
- Comply with the Assembly Commission’s staff policies and procedures.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Technology stack and Microsoft 365.
- Experience transitioning to hosted cloud services.
- Experience leading customer-centric technical change projects in public sector.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Agile project management methodologies.
