Summary: The Technical Programme Manager role involves leading a significant digital transformation initiative within a top-tier UK financial services firm. This position requires a delivery-focused individual to manage complex supplier relationships and internal teams while ensuring alignment with the Target Operating Model. The role is hybrid and offers a 12-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the project from design to implementation, focusing on customer journey redesign and cloud migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive low-level design and mobilisation
- Manage complex supplier relationships and internal delivery teams
- Navigate hybrid delivery (not strict Agile or Waterfall)
- Understand and deliver to a Target Operating Model (TOM)
- Lead across technical change, governance, risk, and delivery control
Key Skills:
- Strong track record delivering complex IT programmes in FS
- Excellent grasp of cloud integration/migration, ideally with IBM Security Verify / ISAM
- Hands-on with deep tech and low-level design
- Deep understanding of TOM delivery and end-to-end service change
- Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and managing suppliers
- Experience in regulated, risk-heavy environments

The Opportunity
We're looking for a sharp, delivery-focused Technical Programme Manager to lead a major digital transformation in a top-tier UK financial services firm. This is a flagship initiative backed, focused on:
- Full service & customer journey redesign
- Moving customer authentication from on-prem to cloud
- Rolling out new features earlier to customers
You'll be the glue between tech, design, suppliers and internal teams - driving delivery, managing risks, aligning to TOM, and keeping everything on track for a big bang cutover.
