The role
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of broadcast and production systems across up to five event spaces currently under construction.
Working closely with systems integrators, engineering teams, construction partners and the internal Enterprise Network team, you will ensure each space is delivered safely, on schedule and to the required technical standard.
You will also oversee the vendors and technical teams responsible for operating the spaces once they become active.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of event spaces, studios and production control rooms.
- Manage external systems integrators, engineering teams and on-site contractors.
- Ensure broadcast systems are delivered according to specification, programme milestones and engineering standards.
- Review and sign off technical checklists, commissioning activities and project deliverables.
- Coordinate construction trades and resolve technical or operational dependencies on-site.
- Oversee technical vendors, including camera operators, production coordinators, production assistants and studio operators.
- Partner with Google’s corporate and laboratory network teams to support reliable broadcast delivery.
- Collaborate with UK- and US-based stakeholders across engineering, operations, facilities and production.
- Support the transition from construction and commissioning into full operational use.
Required experience
- At least five years of relevant technical programme, broadcast engineering or systems integration experience.
- A strong professional background within a broadcaster, broadcast systems integrator or broadcast equipment provider.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast standards and technologies, particularly SMPTE ST 2110 and Dante.
- Experience delivering large-scale broadcast, studio or audiovisual systems.
- Proven experience managing construction-related projects and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
- Strong vendor, stakeholder and programme management capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
What success looks like
Success will be measured by the timely delivery, commissioning and operational integration of the new event spaces and production control rooms, followed by a successful transition as wider teams move into the building.

Remain adaptable and confident when priorities or requirements change.
Use technical expertise and programme data to challenge assumptions and improve decisions.
Select and use appropriate AI tools to support project delivery.
Build strong relationships and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Identify risks, unblock teams and maintain momentum.
Be ready to take ownership and contribute from day one.
This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring a consistent physical presence throughout construction, testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
