Summary: The Technical Product Manager will lead the development of critical platform services for a global online travel company, focusing on maintaining the stability and scalability of core services. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and product management skills to deliver business value while collaborating with various stakeholders. The position is hybrid, requiring two days in the office per week, and is offered on a 6-month contract basis. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define strategy and direction for your product area alongside senior stakeholders.
- Develop internal tooling and services to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Establish key platform metrics, ensuring performance, monitoring, and measurement.
- Prioritise roadmaps, size opportunities with engineers, and set ambitious but achievable targets.
- Write functional specifications and ensure development teams have well-defined user stories.
- Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, analysts, and testers to create scalable and high-resiliency products.
- Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment and adoption of new tools and services.
- Identify and address technical debt, balancing product delivery with long-term stability.
- Stay informed on industry trends, integrating best practices into product development.
- Present future product roadmaps and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst in a complex technical environment.
- Strong ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience delivering high-resiliency, high-availability platforms.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, API design, cloud services, and data management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience in Agile environments, with the ability to manage roadmaps, priorities, and dependencies.
- Commercial awareness and ability to anticipate customer needs.
- Experience in system monitoring, data tracking, and performance analytics.
