Summary: The Technical Product Analyst/Business Analyst role focuses on supporting the enhancement of an internal AI Lifecycle Management Tool within a leading organization. This position requires a blend of technical business analysis, systems thinking, and AI delivery, collaborating closely with software engineers and data teams. The role is hybrid, based in Sheffield, and is classified as inside IR35 for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will engage in defining workflows, translating requirements, and contributing to Agile ceremonies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the rebuild of an internal AI Lifecycle & Governance tool, defining workflows, logic and system behaviour
  • Work hands-on with developers to translate requirements into clear technical specifications
  • Analyse APIs, integrations, data flows and system dependencies
  • Write high-quality technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Run SQL queries and data checks to support analysis, debugging and validation
  • Support issue investigation, debugging and problem-solving with engineering teams
  • Collaborate with AI leads and product teams on life cycle stages, controls, metadata and user experience
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement, design reviews, demos)

  • Strong technical BA/Product Analyst background
  • Solid SQL capability (validation, analysis, troubleshooting)
  • Strong understanding of APIs & integrations (REST, payloads, error handling)
  • Ability to write clear technical requirements, specs & user stories
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to break down complex platform behaviour
  • Confident working in software delivery teams (engineers, architects, QA)
  • Strong problem-solving & debugging mindset
  • AI domain knowledge - familiarity with AI/ML concepts, life cycle stages or governance

We're hiring for a Technical Product Analyst/Business Analyst to join a leading organisation's Responsible AI & Engineering function, supporting the rebuild and enhancement of an internal AI Lifecycle Management Tool.
