Summary: The role of Technical Operations Assistant involves supporting a highly regarded Lloyds Syndicate and re/insurer in a broad and analytical capacity. Key Responsibilities:
- Performing day-to-day responsibilities including processing premium, premium adjustments, commissions, and claim payments in accounting systems.
- Supporting development, implementation, and documentation of processes and controls for efficient handling of responsibilities.
- Assisting with development and oversight of metrics and KPIs ensuring alignment with team goals.
- Providing support to Claims, Reserving, Underwriting, and Finance departments, including external communication with Brokers.
- Supporting adherence to contract certainty.
- Assisting with implementation and execution of special/ad hoc projects within the Operations Department.
- Providing support to the broader Operations team for smooth monthly and quarterly closes.
- Assisting with requests from both Internal and External Auditors.
- Ensuring SOX compliance for Operations processes.
- Ensuring all responsibilities are carried out with a high degree of quality and in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
- 1-4 years experience in a London Insurance Market operational role, preferably in Re/Insurance or Brokers.
- Good level of education, ideally CII qualified or keen to study for it.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Supporting development, implementation and documentation of processes and controls for efficient handling of portfolio of responsibilities.
- Assisting with development and oversight of metrics and KPIs ensuring they align to the goals of the team.
- Helping to support to Claims, Reserving, Underwriting and Finance departments. External communication with Brokers.
