We're looking for a seasoned Technical Network Architect to support a high-profile central government programme. If you thrive in secure, complex environments and enjoy shaping robust, scalable network solutions, this role will suit you perfectly.
What you'll bring
- Strong people skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts with ease.
- Experience working in secure government environments.
Deep knowledge of network architecture, including:
- Network topology and configuration
- Wireless architecture
- Firewalls
- Load balancing
- Inter/intra-site connectivity
- VPN configuration
- Public cloud connectivity
- Proven ability to produce high-quality architectural documentation (HLDs, LLDs, options assessments).
- Confident requirements management and ownership of technical deliverables.
- Working knowledge of auditing and security tooling.
- Strong understanding of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, NIST and wider UK government technology standards.
Desirable
- Experience working within a Matrix organisation.
- Relevant technical certifications.
- TOGAF or equivalent architectural experience.
- Familiarity with public cloud services.
