Summary: The Technical Integration & Reporting Lead role involves collaborating with IT System Owners and engineers to execute integration plans across various technology systems at HSBC. The role is based in Sheffield with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days on-site each week. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with IT System Owners and engineers to execute integration plans on a variety of technology systems and services.
- Lead the design and build of interface solutions integrating data flows from core capacity management systems.
- Assess existing tooling, data flows, and operational practices to identify control gaps and propose remediation strategies.
- Design innovative and visually clear reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, architecture, and risk teams to validate technical designs and implementation plans.
- Define reusable technical patterns and tooling strategies to enhance operational readiness.
- Lead tooling assessment, planning, and documentation for integration execution activities.
- Support and lead testing, release, warranty, and operational handover of platforms.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years in engineering, infrastructure, or technical architecture roles in complex technology environments.
- Familiarity with SRE disciplines such as observability, SLIs/SLOs, and automation of operational tasks.
- Ability to interpret and apply control requirements in technical design contexts.
- Experience producing solution design documentation.
- Experience in interface design, systems integration, and automation delivery.
- Experience in governance and reporting solution use cases, wireframes, process design, data mapping, and test case development.
- Experience leading technical best practices and communicating with engineering communities.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

10+ years in engineering, infrastructure, or technical architecture roles in complex technology environments.
Familiarity with SRE disciplines such as observability, service-level indicators/objectives (SLIs/SLOs), and automation of operational tasks.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply control requirements in technical design contexts.
Experience of producing solution design documentation
Experience around interface design, systems integration and automation delivery.
Experience of governance and reporting solution use cases, wireframes, process design, data mapping, test case development and co-ordination
Experience of leading technical best practice through communities of practice and excellent communications with engineering communities.
Strong communication skills - able to convey technical concepts to senior stakeholders and control partners.
Desirable:
Experience in implementing or uplifting operational controls (capacity, performance, availability).
Exposure to internal risk frameworks or external regulatory requirements (eg, DORA, EBA, PRA).
Background in service reliability, system diagnostics, or incident response.
