Technical Delivery Manager/Project Manager

We are looking to recruit a Technical Delivery Manager/Project Manager to support the growth and change of a Global Financial Institution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role will report to the Director of Application Development in Derivatives.

Overview of the Role:

As an experienced Technical Delivery Manager/Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of project delivery, working closely with various business departments. This role involves end to end hands-on project management from capturing requirements to post-delivery support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management & Delivery
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the project from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Support teams in understanding project goals and required outcomes while maintaining clear documentation and tracking milestones.
• Tracking budgets and maintain project costs within budget
• Responsible for planning, coordinating development tasks
• Managing quality control processes for SIT and UAT
• Operate within a lean governance framework, applying the appropriate delivery methodology following internal standards on project complexity

Change Implementation & Risk Management

• Ensure all projects comply with UK regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Identify risks and devise mitigation strategies to address challenges.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project processes for efficiency

Experience

• Significant project management experience in regulated financial services, specifically within large UK banks.
• Familiarity with regulatory change projects

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Teams, JIRA, and Visio.
• Exceptional organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mediate conflicts effectively.

Qualifications

• Agile, PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous
