Summary: This VP-level Technical Systems Analyst role is pivotal in delivering a new data platform focused on Risk and ESG reporting, bridging business and technology. The position involves driving requirements, data design, and system implementation in a highly regulated environment. The role is with a leading global financial services organization that emphasizes risk, regulatory compliance, and sustainability. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure effective solution delivery and compliance with ESG regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical and functional analysis for ESG and risk-focused data initiatives
- Gather, document, and translate business and system requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Support the implementation of a new data platform, including integration, configuration, and deployment
- Work closely with business, data governance, and technology teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery
- Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures
- Develop data lineage, mapping, and flow across complex system landscapes
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on data pipelines, integration patterns, and metadata frameworks
- Ensure compliance with ESG regulations and data governance standards (eg, BCBS239)
- Support agile delivery, including user story definition, testing, and validation
Key Skills:
- 10+ years' experience in technical/business systems analysis within financial services
- Strong background in data analysis, data modelling, and database design
- Proven experience working on risk, regulatory, or ESG-related initiatives
- Strong technical skills, including SQL and Python
- Experience producing technical requirements documentation and working across full SDLC
- Strong understanding of data lineage, data governance, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering and QA teams
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (Azure, Databricks) is advantageous

Job Offer
- Competitive daily rate between GBP 510 and GBP 890. INSIDE IR35
