Summary: The Technical Coordinator role at Bellway involves supporting the Design Manager in managing technical aspects across multiple housing projects from conception to completion. This position is available as a 1-year fixed-term contract and welcomes both part-time and full-time applications. The role requires overseeing design processes, managing regulatory compliance, and liaising with various departments to ensure project success. Candidates should possess relevant experience in architectural drawing and building regulations, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technical aspects across multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Manage the design process to secure accurate and comprehensive sets of information from the outset.
- Procurement and management of utilities/services and warranties, and management of fees budget.
- Discharge of planning & building regulation conditions.
- Validating conveyance plans and easements.
- Managing and satisfying regulatory bodies such as Planning, Building Control, and the Fire Brigade.
- Control and issue of site information and drawings.
- Liaise with the Commercial department to ensure all relevant orders are in place and budgets/cost to complete are accurate.
- Work with the site and sales teams to provide support as necessary.
Key Skills:
- Architectural drawing experience.
- Brown and green-field housing experience.
- Exposure to medium-rise complex developments.
- Experience and knowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standards is desirable.
- Experience working as a coordinator/within a technical function for a volume house builder is desirable.
- Qualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a technical subject with relevant experience.
- CSCS card or equivalent.
- Current full UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of building techniques, materials, and regulations.
- Good knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Strong communication, listening, presentation skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Methodical, conscientious, organized, and works to deliver high standards.
- Ability to recognize problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively.
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.

This role will consider part-time and full-time applications. This role is for a 1-year fixed-term contract.
The Role
The role of Technical Coordinator will be to support the Design Manager in the management and overseeing of technical matters across multiple projects from conception to completion
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
- Oversee all technical aspects across multiple projects of varying complexity
- Manage the design process to secure accurate and comprehensive sets of information from the outset including management tendering and appointment of design consultants
- Procurement and management of utilities / services and warranties and management of fees budget
- Discharge of planning & building regulation conditions
- Validating conveyance plans and easements
- Managing and satisfying regulatory bodies such as Planning, Building Control, and the Fire Brigade
- Control and issue of site information and drawings
