Summary: The role of a TRAX Technical Consultant involves leading the implementation and customization of Payment Hub platforms for banking and financial services clients. The consultant will utilize expertise in Groovy and JavaScript to develop solutions that meet client-specific requirements while ensuring integration with various payment systems. Strong knowledge of payment messaging standards and troubleshooting skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation activities for Payment Hub platforms, including configuration, customization, integration, and deployment
- Develop custom scripts, workflows, and extensions using Groovy and JavaScript to support client-specific business requirements
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and client stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Integrate Payment Hub platforms with external systems such as core banking platforms, clearing & settlement systems, payment gateways, and third-party services
- Configure and customize payment flows for domestic, international, real-time, batch, and high-value payments
- Support message transformation, mapping, and validation for payment standards including ISO 20022, SWIFT, XML, and JSON
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution during implementation and post-production support phases
- Assist with performance tuning, root cause analysis, and issue resolution across payment processing workflows
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, configuration guides, integration documents, and implementation runbooks
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to internal teams and client stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Groovy and JavaScript scripting within enterprise platforms
- Proven experience implementing and integrating Payment Hub or enterprise payment processing solutions
- Strong understanding of payment orchestration, routing, validation, exception handling, and transaction processing
- Experience working with banking/payment messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX
- Hands-on experience with XML, JSON, APIs, and message transformation technologies
- Good understanding of clearing & settlement processes and payment lifecycle management
