Summary: The Technical Coordinator role at a reputable residential construction company in London focuses on providing essential technical support to site and project teams for efficient project delivery. This position requires a detail-oriented individual to act as the primary contact for technical queries, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications. The role is contract-based for 5 months, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-quality residential projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for technical queries from site teams and subcontractors.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely technical support and guidance to ensure efficient project progression.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues and discrepancies on site, escalating complex matters as necessary.
  • Liaise with external consultants (architects, engineers, etc.) to clarify technical details and obtain necessary information.
  • Track and manage the flow of technical information between the design team and the site team.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of the Building Regulations approval process.
  • Support the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure adherence to technical standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical queries, responses, and resolutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation as required.
  • Contribute to value engineering exercises and identify potential technical solutions.
  • Ensure that the latest drawings and technical information are readily available to the site team.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Coordinator within the residential construction sector.
  • A strong understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and materials used in residential developments.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong focus on providing excellent technical support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant construction-related qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, degree) are desirable.
