Technical Business Analyst (SOC/Security)

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in Cyber Security and SOC-related programmes to support the procurement and selection of a Managed SOC service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops across Cyber Security, Technology Operations, and business teams.
• Define and document business, functional, non-functional, and service requirements.
• Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned to business objectives.
• Support RFP development, vendor evaluation, and procurement activities.
• Analyse vendor responses, identify risks and gaps, and support decision-making.
• Maintain high-quality project documentation, governance artefacts, and audit evidence.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Cyber Security, SOC, or Security Operations environments.
• Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting RFP processes, vendor assessments, and procurement activities.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
• Excellent documentation and analytical skills.

Desirable

• Knowledge of SIEM, MDR, threat monitoring, and SOC operating models.
• Familiarity with enterprise security technologies and tooling.
• Experience working within large, complex organisations.
