Summary: The Technical Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of a new Risk & Controls framework within the TRCB programme, focusing on collaboration across various business functions and IT teams. This position requires gathering requirements, defining solutions, and supporting the implementation of reporting and tooling capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Risk & Controls frameworks and technical business analysis. This role is based in Sheffield or Birmingham and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across GBGFs to gather detailed requirements
  • Design and deliver a new Risk & Controls framework (preventative, proactive, detectable controls)
  • Support the central team in redefining controls, KCIs, and metrics
  • Map reporting requirements to source systems and define interfaces
  • Create wireframes for reporting solutions
  • Work with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Define and oversee test cases and testing activities
  • Support release communications and training
  • Conduct data analysis and pull data from multiple sources
  • Assist in observability tooling and capacity risk identification

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in Risk & Controls frameworks
  • Technical business analysis with hands-on experience in requirement gathering
  • Data analysis and reporting design
  • Familiarity with observability tools (eg, Splunk, OpenTelemetry - OTEL)
  • Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of data mastering and interface specification
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
