Summary: The Technical Business Analyst role involves supporting existing DevOps staff across various projects, focusing on analysis, planning, data extraction, application build, testing, migration, and post-live support. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in software delivery within the banking or finance sectors and possess strong technical skills in DevOps tools and methodologies. The position requires a proactive individual capable of problem-solving and effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a portfolio of projects through analysis, planning, data extraction, app build, testing, migration, and post-live support.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Nexus/Sonatype, and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/Ansible).
- Identify root causes, troubleshoot incidents, and develop effective solutions.
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Map, document, and analyze process flows to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Build good working relationships with team members and wider stakeholders.
- Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for documentation and reporting.
- Query and analyze data using database concepts.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years' experience with software delivery in banking/finance/fintech.
- Strong DevOps experience and familiarity with relevant tools.
- Independent worker with a proactive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of IT controls and best practices.
- Experience in large matrix organizations.
- Ability to gather and document requirements effectively.

The role will support a portfolio of projects, and include analysis, planning, data extraction, app build, testing, migration, post-live support.
Ideally looking for a Technical BA with good DevOps experience, and experience working with apps/tools such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- GitHub
- Nexus/Sonatype
- Build and deployment tooling (CI/CD/Jenkins/Ansible)
- Monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, etc)
Required:
- +5 years' experience with software delivery in banking/finance/fintech
- Independent worker with can do' attitude, ability to learn quickly, and strong sense of ownership to get the job done (high priority)
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proven capability in identifying root causes, troubleshooting incidents, and developing effective solutions (high priority)
- Good written & verbal communication skills and people skills, and build good working relationships with team and wider stakeholders (high priority)
